Waveswept ~ 8/100
Kindred Spirits Soaring free Lifted by the wind Beneath your wings The sun glistening overhead Reflecting gold upon your silhouette Ribbons of blue The salty breeze Lovers gliding on a waveswept sea.

Oh my love, As I walk upon your forest floor Immersed in the memories of how you always whispered to me You knew my longings More than I knew my own You healed me In the sanctuary of your tree’s You gave me shelter From the storms of adolescence from the world that raped me …
You came drifting In from sea Like a lover From the deep Your body warn From weathered wood The soul of you Engrained deep Within your rings An ancient forest knows you Intimately.
I watch for you In the vastness Of the deep The silhouette Of thin blue line an illusion of separation between us we are not strangers you and I we are lovers of the sea As your waters rise and fall My breath rises too in anticipation of you I feel you pulling on me …
Thank you for the sweet flowers before me my love Still life Soaking in the waters Of a glass jar Bringing me Spring in a bottle As your full splendor has yet to arrive here A gift from a friend And from you my beloved spring You who are so generous with your vibrant colors …
Oh, the splendor you bring Your beauty is not lost on me Wings whirling Colors swirling The buzzing of your wings The sweetest energy Diving in to drink your sweet nectar In this precious moment Reminding me That joy is found in the smallest of things.
Today the great mystery calls me to embark on a 100 day journey – to commit to a practice of writing 100 Love Poems to Nature as I join hearts with others in the #100dayproject . This will be our second year doing it as a group of artists Bennett Sculpture CarmelI will get out in nature every day for 100 days & incorporate my love poems with photo’s, sculpture, paintings & whatever inspires me along the way. Why nature? Because She Is Everything.
