Terrie Bennett is a second-generation sculptor raised on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Terrie began her sculpting journey in the early 1980s when her family business, Bennett Sculpture, moved from Tahoe City to Placerville, CA. Inspired by nature and conservation, her early works focused on marine and wildlife subjects before evolving into more abstract and modern forms, always with a core emphasis on the natural world and animal advocacy.
Throughout her 42-year career, Terrie has mastered various mediums and techniques, including clay sculpting, the lost wax casting process, oxy-acetylene welding, and steel and aluminum fabrication. Her works have been exhibited in numerous galleries across the western United States, and she has undertaken significant commissioned artworks for prominent clients such as The Space Foundation, Barack Obama, The City of Rancho Cordova and more.
